Monday 11th November (Day 1)
This morning we left just after 0800 in out motorhome. Our destination was the South Essex Crematorium in Upminster for the funeral of Debbie Lamb's mum. While only a two hour journey we had over three to arrive ensuring traffic did not prevent us from getting there. So leave early anticiipating traffic and we sailed through. This meant that by 1020 we were parked up in the Crfematorium car park havubng a cup of tea. 1130 saw the service which was very nice. The wake was to be held at Hornchurch footbnall club which was good for us as it had a large car opark with no height restrictions. Around 1500 we said our goodbyes and drove to the Caravan and Camping Club site at Battlesbridge. We parked up just before it got dark and went for as stroll around the anique shops. The phrase 'one mans rubbish is another mans treasure' is surely true. We went to this site to meet up with Chris' brother, Mick. So by 1830 we were in The Hawk pub for a meal. Mick has eye issues and cannot drive and so was brought by the wife of a good friend. We tyhen had a nice meal but it was very much overpriced. By 2000 we had finsished and he was off home. We had a further drink befoer walking back (in pitch black) to the motorhome. A bit of tv then bed.
Tuesday 12th November (Day 2)
We left promptly planning a bacon butty om the way home. It wasn't until the A1120 that we found a place to get one but agreed the sausage and bacon baguette was really good. Home by 1200.
